I'm not your average running coach

After running handfuls of half marathons and marathons, I tried my hand at ultras and didn’t turn back. I ran my first ultra marathon in 2013, the Umstead 50 miler. I immediately fell in love with the sport and the trails. Several years later, I decided to share my knowledge and love of ultrarunning with others and became a United Endurance Sports Coaching Academy certified running and ultrarunning coach. 

In 2019 I found myself recovering from a femoral stress fracture, unable to bare weight, much less run. I was still helping friends with their training plans for upcoming races even though I couldn’t walk without crutches. I realized how much I loved helping them put a plan into action. It was through the suggestion of a friend that I realized I wanted to start coaching other runners. Later that year Relentless Pursuit Endurance was born.

After running and racing in North Carolina, South Florida, and Virginia I’ve experienced different roads, trails, and terrain. Ultrarunning has taught me that anything is possible and you are capable of more than you think you are. Some of my races include the Umstead 50 mile, Mountains to Sea 50k, 8 Hours of Hell (3rd F), Riverbend 12 Hour (1st F 2017, 2nd OA & 2nd F 2018), River to Sea 12 Hour, Dunes 100 (2nd OA & 2nd F), Grindstone 100, & the Yeti 100 Mile Challenge (virtual, self supported).

I don't think there is one way to train for a race or life in general.

 I believe that using science based training customized to fit each athlete’s lifestyle is going to help you accomplish your goals while enjoying the process.
