Are you looking for a great post-workout treat? If you’re like me, you spend a good amount of your workout or long run thinking about what you’re going to eat after. This is the perfect healthy post-workout, otherwise known as “breakfast #2”.
These would also be great with chocolate flavored protein powder & chocolate chips mixed in! The flavor combinations are endless!
Blueberry Protein Waffles

Ingredients
- 1/2 c oats
- 2 scoops protein powder
- 2 large eggs
- 1/3 c vanilla greek yogurt or cottage cheese
- 2 tbsp milk of choice
- 1 tbsp nut or seed butter
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 pinch salt
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 c blueberries
Instructions
- Preheat waffle iron. Add all waffle ingredients to a blender, except for blueberries. Blend until a smooth batter forms.
- Stir in blueberries.
- Spray waffle iron with nonstick spray. Pour batter into waffle iron. The batter should make 4 waffles total. Cook until golden brown, or for about 4-5 minutes.
- Add your favorite toppings and enjoy. These are great for freezing too!
Notes
*If you use cottage cheese, add an additional tbsp milk.
